As 135,000 tons of furnace oil purchased, hike in power shortfall ruled out

ISLAMABAD – There is no chance of further worsening of the power crisis in the country because of the ongoing fuel shortage in the country, as per the Water and Power Ministry, adding that it has purchased 135,000 tons of furnace oil from the market of which 35000 has been supplied.

The spokesman added that two ships carrying 100,000 tons are expected to reach by 25th January. Further the current 700MW hydel generation is also expected to rise to 1500MW by the end of this month.
