ISLAMABAD: Two Umrah pilgrims were arrested for trying to smuggle narcotics early Wednesday morning.
The Airport Security Force (ASF) arrested the couple for smuggling ice and heroin at the Islamabad airport. Two kilogrammes of ice and heroin were recovered from their luggage. The suspects have been identified as Irfan and his wife. They were travelling to Jeddah on a private airline for Umrah.
The narcotics were hidden in powdered milk tins. The suspects have been handed over to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).
