ASF fails bid to smuggle 2.4kg narcotics to Doha at Lahore airport

LAHORE: The Airport Security Force (ASF) foiled a bid to smuggle 2.4 kilograms of narcotics worth millions of rupees and arrested a drug-trafficker at the Lahore airport.

ASF sources said that during the search of a passenger’s luggage, who was leaving for Doha through a private airline at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore, 2.4 kilograms of narcotics was recovered.

One kilogram of hashish and 1.4 kilogram heroin was concealed in secret cavities of the luggage.

ASF also arrested the accused who hailed from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The detainee and recovered drugs were later handed over to Anti Narcotic Force (ANF) which after registering a case against him started an investigation.
