ASF nabs customs employee stealing gold bracelets from luggage of passenger

MULTAN: Airport Security Force (ASF) caught customs employee who was stealing gold bracelets from luggage of passenger during examination at Multan International Airport.

According to details, customs employee was accused for stealing four gold bracelets from luggage of passenger at Multan International Airport.

Sources told Customs Today that Airport Security Force received complaint from passenger Abdul Rehman that he arrived from Sharjah at the Multan International Airport and gold bracelets were missing from his luggage after searching of customs employee at customs counter.

Airport Security Force reviewed CCTV footage carefully after receiving complaint from passenger in which customs Sepoy Abdul Hameed was found stealing four gold bracelets during searching of Abdul Rehman at Multan International Airport. Airport Security Force detained Customs Sepoy Abdul Hameed after getting clear evidence from CCTV.

Customs Sepoy Abdul Hameed was immediately detained by ASF and who canceled his duty permit at Multan International Airport and recommended Customs Collectorate to take disciplinary action against employee for stealing gold bracelets from luggage.

It is also pertinent to mention that £ 2,500 was also missing from a woman’s purse at the Multan International Airport few days ago. Customs authorities has also started investigation against employee in this matter.
