RAWALPINDI: The Airport Security Force (ASF) foiled a drug smuggling bid at the Benazir International Airport.
The ASF officials stopped Ali Gauhar, a resident of Mardan, for checking over suspicion when he was about to board on a private airline for Doha. The officials recovered two-kilogram Ice and heroin from his bag and arrested the accused. Sources at the airport stated that he had hidden the drug in a box containing packaged sweat.
According to the customs authorities, the seized drug is worth more than Rs 20 million in international markets. A case was lodged against him following his arrest and the investigation has begun.
