ASF seizes cache of weapon, ammunition at Lahore Airport

LAHORE: The Airport Security Force (ASF) Wednesday foiled a terror bid at the Allama Iqbal International Airport and confiscated a cache of weapons and ammunition.

During a routine inspection, the ASF personnel stopped a vehicle at the airport check post on Wednesday morning, and recovered a weapon and a large cache of ammunition during search of the vehicle, the ASF officials said.

The ASF confiscated a 223 bore rifle, seven magazines, and dozens of bullets from the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was identified as a resident of Lahore and was handed over to the police, along with his car.
