Ashiana Housing scam: Nishat Chunian Ltd CEO appears before NAB

LAHORE: Shahzad Saleem the chief executive officer of Nishat Chunian Limited, who is among the accused in Ashiana Housing Scheme case, was produced before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

In the light of the testimony of former principal secretary Fawad Hasan Fawad, Shahzad Saleem was summoned before the anti-graft watchdog to record his statement and was asked to bring all relevant documents along.

Only July 5, NAB took Fawad Hassan Fawad into custody in connection with three graft cases.

Three corruption cases against former premier Nawaz Sharif’s principal secretary involve Ashiana Housing Scheme, illegal employment in a private bank and unlawful transfer of nine CNG stations.

Fawad has served as the principal secretary of two former prime ministers, Nawaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

It is worth mentioning that former director general Land Development Authority (LDA) Ahad Cheema is also accused in Ashiana Housing Scheme case.
