TOKYO: Asian stock markets are trading higher on Tuesday. Japan’s benchmark index, Nikkei 225 gained 146.22 points or 0.74 percent to trade at 20,036.49.
While China’s benchmark index, Shanghai Composite jumped 87.75 points or 2.05 percent to trade at 4,371.24. The index has recorded a high of 4,372.11 and a low of 4,285.78 after opening at 4,285.78 (10:45pm EDT).
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 56.18 points or 0.2 percent to trade at 27,647.43. The index has registered a high of 27,684.78 and a low of 27,500.76 after opening at 27,597.07 (10:45pm EDT).
Singapore’s Straits Times declined 7.02 points or 0.2 percent to trade at 3,452.55. The index has seen a high of 3,465.15 and a low of 3,451.31 after opening at 3,463.71 (10:40pm EDT).
South Korea’s KOSPI rose 9.26 points or 0.44 percent to trade at 2,122.98. The index has recorded a high of 2,126.89 and a low of 2,107.62 after opening at 2,114.29 (10:40pm EDT).
Taiwan’s TAIEX gained 91.15 points or 0.95 percent to trade at 9,697.25. The index has witnessed a high of 9,713.70 and a low of 9,623.95 after opening at 9,623.95 (10:40pm EDT).
