Asif Marghoob’s Customs Intelligence seizes 60 laptops worth Rs 2 million

KARACHI: The Custom Intelligence and Investigation-anti-smuggling unit has seized 60 laptops worth Rs 2 million during an action.

On the directions of Customs Intelligence Director Asif Marghoob, Additional Director Nadeem Ahsan formed a team comprising Superintendent Mahmud Abbas, Deputy Superintendent Rana Insram, Munwar Ali, and Khuram Saeed to hold the smuggled items.

The team raided a building near Regal Chowk, and recovered 60 laptops of assorted brands, which were confiscated after finding smuggled, while further investigation is underway.

Additional Directors Nadeem Ahsan and Mahmud Abbas said that intelligence teams were more active against the smuggling, adding that they have confiscated non-duty paid vehicles, diesel, engine oil and other items during anti-smuggling operations.
