ASO earns Rs7.16m by seizing various goods in 2H of Jan

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) collected revenue of Rs.7.16 million during 7th of January to 13th of January 2017 by confiscating the smuggled goods, including offending vehicles.

According to details told by Deputy Collector ASO Shahid Jan, the ASO collected revenue of Rs.04 million by impounding four offending vehicles which are the main source that helps smugglers to carry the non-duty paid goods.

He said that during the above said period the ASO collected revenue of Rs.0.781 by seizing 248 tyres and the same department also earned revenue of Rs.0.058 million by seizing miscellaneous goods.

During the same period the ASO received revenue of Rs.0.180 million by seizing six electronic items and the same ASO got revenue of Rs.1.316 million by seizing 4,180 kilogram of black tea. During the above said period the ASO collected revenue of Rs.0.659 million by impounding 1,281 yards fabric whereas deputy collector informed Customs Today of collecting revenue of Rs.0.168 million by the ASO after seizing 517 smuggled auto parts.
