Faisalabad Customs achieves 93 percent revenue target in May

FAISALABAD: The Model Custom’s Collectorate (MCC) Faisalabad achieved 93 percent of the revenue collection target during the month of May.

Collectorate Tauseef Ahmad Qureshi said he is confident that his collectorate will definitely achieve the remaining target before the end of the current fiscal year.

Meanwhile, the Faisalabad Customs and the Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) unearthed 15 cases of smuggling during the month of May.

Taking to Customs Today, Collectorate Tauseef Ahmed Qureshi said that during the above-mentioned period, his department foiled many smuggling bids. According to details, the total value of seized items during the month of May is Rs 32,038,870, while the C.I.F. value of imported items is Rs 3,130,000.

He said that the collectorate has already adopted strict measures to curb smuggling. He further stated that during the month of May, the Faisalabad ASO seized different contraband goods with C.I.F value of Rs 13,992,939, involving duty and taxes to the tune of Rs 6,397,419, and market value of Rs 23,765,659.
