ASO Faisalabad seizes foreign origin new auto parts

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization ( ASO)  Faisalabad has seized 4438 pieces of foreign origin new auto parts in Faisalabad city. The market value of the seized auto parts is  Rs 1.58 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Collector Customs Faisalabad Tauseef Ahmed Qureshi received information regarding the smuggling of foreign origin new auto parts. Soon after receiving the information, he constituted a raiding team comprising Zahid Bukhari (superintendent), Mehmood Ahmad (inspector), Muhammad Naeem, Muhammad Salam, Atta Muhammad, Hafiz Naseer, and Liaqat Ali (sepoys).

The ASO team conducted a raid near Khurranwala Road, Faisalabad and seized 4438 pieces of foreign origin auto parts. They asked accused persons who were identified as Zahid Aziz son of Abdul Sattar who is resident of Eden Garden Faisalabad, and Shafaqat Ali son of  Shafiq ahmed who is a resident of Mohallah Yaseenabad Phawara chowk Faisalabad to produce legal documents regarding the possession of the auto parts. But they failed to produce the same.

After their failure, the Customs team seized the spare parts and registered a case against the accused persons.
