ASO Faisalabad seizes black pepper, zeera.‏

FAISALABAD: Anti Smuggling Organization ( ASO) Faisalabad seizes foreign origin black pepper packed in bardana and Indian zeera in Faisalabad city. The market value of seized black pepper and Indian zeera is estimated at Rs 517500/-.

According to sources of Customs Today Assistant Collector Asim Anwar received a credible information regarding smuggling of black pepper and zeera.

After receiving information, Assistant Collector constituted a special raiding team comprising Zahid Bukhari (Superintendent),  Mehmood Ahmad Dogar (inspector), Muhammad Naeem, Hafiz Nisar Ahmad, and Asrar Ahmad (sepoy ).

The customs team intercepted a vehicle at Jhang Road and seized Indian zeera and black pepper, and asked driver Muhammad Naqab son of Tamash who is a resident of Sangla Hill to produce legal documents regarding possession of black pepper and zeera, but he failed to produce the same.

Upon his failure the customs team seized black pepper, and zeera and registered a case against accused person.
