ASO impounds non-duty Paid Toyota Hiace Van worth of Rs 1.2m

FAISALABAD: Sargodha Model customs collectorate, Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has impounded non-duty paid Toyota Hiace van.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector Muhammad Khan received information regarding the smuggling of the vehicle. After receiving the tip, Deputy Collector immediately formed a raiding team comprising Superintendent Choudhary Muhammad Sardar, Muhammad Ansir Saleemi, Bashir Ahmad, Inspector Mehar Amir Ali, Muhammad Amin, Muhammad Imran, Muhammad iqbal, Muhammad Ashraf, and Hafiz Nasir ahmed.

The team formed check post at main entry and exit point of the city and started the checking of vehicles. During the checking of the vehicles the ASO team intercepted Toyota Hiace van bearing registration No, LEI-16-2695 Horse power 2200 CC near Chavey Wala jhang Road Sargodha. The ASO team asked owner of the vehicle who is identified as Mansoor Ali son of Muhammad Arif khan residential Abbas pur T/D Sargodha to produce legal documents regarding possession of the vehicle. But he remained failed to provide the same. After this ASO team seized the vehicle and registered a case against the owner of the vehicle. Customs officials said that the value of the seized vehicle is Rs1.2 million.
