ASO impounds Mitsubishi Pajero worth Rs 1.7 million

LAHORE: The  MCC Preventive Lahore Anti-Smuggling Organization has impounded a Mitsubishi Pajero at Ghazi Road, sources told Customs Today on Wednesday.

The sources said that the Pajero was impounded by ASO inspector Sajad Bukhari on the instructions of Superintendent Mumtaz Ajmal Mian. The value of seized Pajero is Rs 1.7 million.

The sources said that on a tip off the inspector with his team intercepted Mitsubishi Pajero BF/ 6672  and asked for customs clearance documents from the owner Muhammad Aftab.

The owner was said to be failed to produce the required documents. After his failure the ASO team seized the Mitsubishi Pajero and the customs team following its full satisfaction impounded the Pajero which is valued at Rs 1.7 million. The customs authorities registered a case and initiated investigations in this regard.
