ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Islamabad seized various kinds of smuggled auto parts along with an offending vehicle (Vehicle used for carrying smuggled goods) worth Rs642145million on Saturday from Carriage Factory Road Rawalpindi.
According to ASO Islamabad, the ASO squad was on a routine patrolling when they saw a suspicious Suzuki pickup coming from Peshawar. The ASO squad stopped the offending Suzuki with registration No: LHO-8180 and asked the possessor of smuggled goods to show the relevant documents of loaded auto parts but he failed to do so.
The ASO staff sent smuggled goods along with the offending vehicle to the State Where House and also lodged an FIR against the tax evaders and forwarded the case to the Investigation and Prosecution I&P Department for further investigation.
The seized goods comprise diggy for Mehran worth Rs003150 million, door alto Rs002100million, dumper for Honda car valued Rs007350 million, radiator complete set worth Rs008400million, starting assembly for Toyota Corolla Rs000525million, miscellaneous wiring Toyota corolla Rs001607million, AC blower for cars Rs000375million, radiator plate for corolla car Rs018207, Toyota corolla car console Rs000357, Headlight Rs003674 and offending vehicle Suzuki pickup with registration No: LHO-8180 Rs0.60million.
This seizure was impounded by ASO Inspector Muhammad Asif and other supporting staff of the ASO squad.
