ASO impounds vehicles & goods valued Rs31.16m during February

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization impounded goods and vehicles worth Rs31.16million during the month of February of Financial Year 2016-17. The seized vehicles valued Rs9.40million.

According to Assistant Collector Majid Hussain Gaad, the ASO Islamabad seized 15 NDP and offending vehicles and various kinds of smuggled goods during said period and collected handsome revenue.

During the month of February FY2016-17, the ASO confiscated 3722 yards of cloths valued Rs2.23million whereas it seized 42338 kilogram of food grain valued Rs8.22million. The ASO also seized 538 kg of tea worth Rs0.15million.
During said period, the ASO seized 145 tyres and tubes valued Rs0.428million whereas it seized 60 numbers of Alloy rims priced Rs0.021million. The ASO seized 1574 kg of auto-parts worth Rs0.69million.
The ASO seized 1340 cartons of fake cigarettes worth Rs1.19million while it did 142 electronic goods valued Rs1.43million and the ASO confiscated miscellaneous goods valued Rs1.98million.
