ASO impounds worth Rs8.611m vehicles & goods during 4th to 10th Feb

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Islamabad impounded worth Rs8.611million goods and non-duty-paid vehicles during 4th to 10th of February FY2016-17.

According to Deputy Collector ASO Anser Anies, the performance of the ASO was satisfactory during 2nd week of February 2016-17. During said period, the ASO impounded worth Rs0.06million an NDP vehicle whereas ASO seized offending vehicles valued Rs5.0million during said period.

During above said period, the ASO took possession of 880 yard imported fabrics valued Rs0.066million while it also seized 538 kilogram of black tea priced Rs0.158. During above said period, the ASO confiscated 98 smuggled tyres and tubes valued Rs0.33million.

During said period, the ASO seized 532 kg of spare-parts priced Rs0.474million. During the same period, the ASO seized 60 kg of alloy rim valued Rs0.021million while ASO confiscated 347 cartons of fake foreign cigarettes priced Rs0.36million. During said period, the ASO also impounded about 22 electronics goods valued Rs0.531million.

During said period, the ASO seized different kinds of smuggled items valued Rs0.460million during 4th to 10th of February 2016-17.
