ASO takes custody of 14,000 liter Iranian origin diesel in separate incidents

KARACHI: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) has taken the custody of smuggled high speed diesel worth millions of rupees.

Source told Customs Today that a team of Mouchko police, during a routine patrolling, intercepted a water tanker No NAA-801 Hino and recovered 10,000 liter smuggled Iranian origin high speed diesel worth millions of rupees. The Customs I&I registered two cases against the suspect, Abid Aziz Balouch, under section 54/550 Cr.PC and started investigations against him

In a second raid, another suspect, Yar Jan, was arrested while his loaded Mazda truck  bearing no: JY-7342 having 4,000 liters smuggled Iranian origin high speed Diesel (HSD) was taken in the  possession.

Both the vehicles loaded with smuggled Iranian origin High Speed Diesel (HSD) were entered in the city through different land routes. The customs authorities started further investigations to dig out the master minds involved in the heinous crime.
