ASO Islamabad gets Rs 6.17m by seizing illegal goods

ISLAMABAD: The Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) Islamabad collected revenue Rs.6.17 million by seized offending vehicle as for as smuggled goods during 17th to 23rd December of financial year (FY) 2016-17.

According to details told by Shahid Jan Deputy Collector Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad said that during above said period the ASO’s performing was out stinging , adding that during said period the ASO seized 03 different type of offending vehicle in value of Rs.2.2 millions.

He said that during 17th to 23rd December FY2016-17 the ASO seized 4281 kilogram of foreign origin fabric in value of Rs.2.39 million as for as the ASO seized black tea in quantity of 492 kilogram in value of Rs.0.113 million.

The Deputy Collector adding that during above said period the ASO seized 06 numbers of tires and tubes in value of Rs.0.059 million as for as the ASO seized 820 kilogram of Auto Spare Parts in value of Rs.0.348 million.

The DC Jan said that during said period the ASO seized electronic goods in value of Rs.0.151 million adding that during same period the ASO seized above mention different type of smuggled goods in value of Rs.3.97 million.

 He assumed that during third week of December 17-23 Dec 2016-17 the Preventive department did very well and made huge seizers on daily basis adding that Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad will not only meet its assigned target of December however it will surpassed the given revenue target of 2nd quarter of current financial year. Ends
