ASO Jhang seizes foreign origin tyres, Hyundai Shahzore truck

JHANG: The Jhang Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) seized illegally imported foreign origin used tyres and Hundai Shahzone truck.

According to details, Faisalabad Deputy Collector Irfan Ahmed Shouqat received a credible information regarding smuggling of above mentioned items. After receiving the information, the Deputy Collector formed a raiding team under the supervision of Ch Sardar Mohammad (superintendent), Asghar Mehdi Naqvi, Shaukat Khan, Mujuhid Abbas (inspector) Ghulam Abbas (driver), Muhammad Ali, Zulfiqar Ali,  Ziaullah Cheema and Muhammad Ajmal (sepoys).

The raiding team intercepted the Hyundai Shahzore truck bearing registration No. SGO 1232 near  Shorkot  Jhang Road and found  245 used tyres of foreign origin. The market value of the tyres is Rs 7.3 million. The raiding team also seized the Hyundai Shahzore truck bearing CIF value of Rs 200,000 and market value of Rs 500,000.

The raiding team asked the owner to provide legal documents regarding import of the tyres but he failed to produce the same. Upon his failure the raiding team seized the items the name of accused person’s are  Nazir Ahmad son of  Abdul Qayoom, as per bilty No, 365, by M/S Gorar Sharif Mini Good’s and Transport Company near Head Nowbahar PSO Pump Bhalwalpur by pas Road Multan, and Muzamal Rafique son of  Muhammad Sadique driver Gkhabeeki Teshil & District Khushab.

Further proceedings are in progress
