ASO Lahore seizes 15,000 kg smuggled plastic granules

LAHORE: Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Lahore Preventive confiscated 15,000 kilograms Iranian-made smuggled plastic granules worth million of rupees on Thursday.

Following the instructions of Customs Collector Mukarran Jah Ansari, ASO team on a tip-off raided two trucks loaded with smuggled plastic granules and confiscated the trucks on not producing any legal documents by the owners, official sources informed.

The sources added that initial investigation revealed that the plastic granules were to be supplied as raw- material for an industry.

The sources said that Superintendent Mumtaz Ajmal Mian, Saleem Akhtar and Ijaz Rasool supervised the raid.
