ASO makes cases worth Rs 386.65m from July 2015 to June 2016

LAHORE: The Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) of Custom Collectorate Preventive has registered cases valuing Rs 386.65 million during the period from July 2015 to June 2016.

The organization had registered cases valuing Rs 302.08 million during the corresponding period of last year. The ASO was able to register an increase of Rs 84.57 million excess as compared with the corresponding period of last year.

Cases valuing Rs 335.32 million have been made during the period July 2015 to June 2016 whereas cases valuing Rs 292.28 million were made during the corresponding period of last year.

Anti-Smuggling Organization of Collectorate of Customs Preventive seized vehicle, goods and articles and miscellaneous contraband items under the supervision of Assistant Collector Dr Muhammad Adnan Khan and Superintendent Munawar Ahmad Khan.

While talking to Customs Today Chief Collector of Customs Central Region Samaira Nazir said that the collectorate was taking stern measure and is committed to bring down smuggling to the minimum level in the current financial year under the limits of all the four collectorate under Central Region.
