ASO Mianwali impounds non-duty paid Toyota Fielder

FAISALABAD: Custom Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Mianwali has impounded a non-duty paid vehicle Toyota Fielder worth Rs1.22 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs679,502.

ASO team on the instructions of Additional Collector Omer Bin Zaid impounded a vehicle which was held by local police of Mianwali due to the non-registration., while after investigation it was found that said vehicle is illegally imported.

The ASO staff asked the drive to produce relevant documents regarding the legal import and lawful possession of the vehicle. But he could not produce any documents relating to its legal import or lawful possession on which officials impounded the vehicle following the customs law.

ASO team including Inspector Azhar Hussain Jafri, Inspector Nazir hussain, Inspector Ghulam Mohyuddin and others made seizure of the illegally imported vehicle.
