ASO Mianwali seizes Hino truck and Khermai dates.‏

MIANWALI: The Anti -Smuggling Organization(ASO) has successfully seized illegally imported foreign origin Kherami Sadarti fresh date’s 2850 cartons. The ASO authorities also impounded Hino truck which was being used to smuggle the above said items.

According to details ASO authorities received a credible information regarding smuggling of Khermai fresh dates. Soon after receiving the information authorities concerned of ASO forms a raiding party comprising Azhar Hussain Jafri, Nazir Hussain Jafri (inspectors), Muhammad Saifullah, Mohammad Ghulam Mohyuddin, Faiz Ahmed, Sher Ahmed, Saeed Rasool, Mohammad Saifullah  and Riasat Hussain driver.

The raiding party intercepted a Hino truck bearing registration No. EA-1196, at M.M. Alam Road. The Hino truck have a market value of Rs 73,80,000. The raiding party asked the driver Muhammad ijaz son of Allah Wasaya  who is a resident of  Latkran p.o. Muzaffargarh  to produce documents regarding legal import of dates but he failed to produce the documents. Upon his failure the raiding party seized the dates and vehicles. Further proceedings are still under progress till the filing of this report.
