ASO Peshawar impounds 53 NDP & offending vehicles valued at Rs58m in July

PESHAWAR: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Peshawar took 53 Non-Duty-Paid and offending vehicles (Vehicles used for carrying smuggled goods) into possession worth Rs58.00million during the month of July Financial Fear FY2017-18.

According to details given by Zakir Muhammad, Deputy Collector ASO Peshawar, while talking with Customs Today, he said that, during the month of July FY17-18, the ASO showed brilliant performance by impounding NDP and offending vehicles.
He said that, during above said period, the ASO took 41 offending vehicles into possession worth Rs40.800million while the ASO Peshawar impounded 13 NDP vehicles worth Rs17.200million during the month of July FY17-18.
Zakir told CT that offending vehicles are used for providing help in transporting the smuggling goods from one place to another place. He further said the ASO Peshawar is especially hunting the NDP vehicles as they are not only harmful to the security of the region but also the security of the country.
