ASO Peshawar impounds big quantity of foreign currencies, NDP & offending vehicles

PESHAWAR: During the third week of November’s Financial Year 2017-18, the Anti-Smuggling Organization Peshawar took into possession a big quantity of smuggling foreign currencies, offending and Non-Duty-Paid vehicles including huge quantity of fabrics and other goods.

During first 21 days of November’s Financial Year (FY) 2017-18, the ASO Peshawar seized 214,000 Saudi Riyals whereas it also did $29900. The sources told CT that, during above said period, the ASO seized some liquor as well.
During the first 21 days of November’s FY17-8, the ASO Peshawar confiscated one Non-Duty-Paid (NDP) vehicle and it also impounded 15 offending vehicles (vehicles carrying smuggling goods).
The ASO Peshawar took into possession foreign origin different types of cloths worth Rs15.74million while it also did miscellaneous smuggling goods valued at Rs17.83million during various seizures at different customs stations working under the jurisdiction of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar.
