ASO Peshawar takes into possession 16 offending & NDP vehicles during 15 days

PESHAWAR: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Peshawar impounded 16 offending (vehicles used for carrying smuggled goods) and Non-Duty-Paid (NDP) vehicles during the 1st to 15th of August Financial Year (FY) 2017-18.

According to details given by Zakir Muhammad, Deputy Collector ASO Peshawar, that, during initial 15 days of August FY17-18, the ASO took into possession 13 offending vehicles worth Rs18.9million while it impounded three NDP vehicles valued at Rs4.75million during the 1st to 15th of August FY17-18.
Deputy Collector told Customs Today that the ASO Peshawar consists of Mobile Squad No: 01, Mobile Squad No: 02, Mobile Squad Nowshera, Mobile Squad Shergarh and Mobile Squad Dera Ismail Khan (DIK).
He said that, during above said period, the vehicles impounded by ASO Peshawar include Honda Civic car worth Rs01.00million, Bedford truck Rs1.5million, three Toyota Corolla cars valued at Rs4.11million, Suzuki Van priced at Rs0.5million and Mercedes van worth Rs3.00 million.
Deputy Collector said the ASO impounded three Bedford trucks worth Rs4.5million whereas the financial worth of Suzuki pickup is Rs0.5million and the price of the Datsun taken into possession is Rs1.00million.
He further said that, during initial 15 days of August FY17-18, the NDP vehicles impounded by ASO Peshawar include two Toyota Primo worth Rs3.8million while it took into possession 01 Toyota car priced at Rs0.95million.
