ASO Peshawar seizes various items, offending vehicles worth Rs 45.4m during six days

PESHAWAR: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Peshawar impounded various smuggling goods and offending vehicles worth Rs45.4million from 28th of September to 04th of October Financial Year  2017-18.
According to details explained by sources of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar that, during said period, the ASO Peshawar showed outstanding performance. During said period, the ASO Peshawar took into possession one Non-Duty-Paid vehicle valued at Rs4.00million whereas it did 13 offending vehicles (Vehicles used for carrying smuggling goods) worth Rs14.1million.
During above said period, the MCC Peshawar seized different kinds of smuggling goods worth Rs27.4million. The Model Customs Collectorate Peshawar is taking new measures to make the performance of the Anti-Smuggling Organization more effective during 2nd Quarter (October to December) FY17-18.
The ASO Peshawar, during September FY17-18, impounded three NDP vehicles priced at Rs4.5million while it did 32 offending vehicles valued at Rs34.95million. The ASO seized various kinds of goods worth Rs66.5million.
The sources told CT that, during the month of August, the ASO took into possession three NDP vehicles worth Rs7.5million while it did 41 offending vehicles valued at Rs56.85million. The ASO Peshawar confiscated smuggling goods worth Rs93.174million during August 17-18.
