ASO Preventive impounds Rs15m illegal goods

LAHORE: Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Preventive has seized above Rs 15 million illegal goods from January 16 to February 10.

According to details, the ASO conducted 12 major operations and seized suresh dana, locks, steel nails, Toyota Corolla car, five bodies of Mazda Trucks, Mitsubishi Pajero body case and used tyres and other miscellaneous goods and articles of worth Rs 3.1 million.
The ASO forces also confiscated above Rs 12 million generators and engines of generators. The ASO conducted these anti- smuggling operations on the information of Customs Preventive Collector Mukarram Jah Ansari and Deputy
Collector Shafiqur Rehman.
The operations were supervised by the ASO superintendent Mumtaz Ajmal Mian and his team consisting four deputy collectors and eight inspectors.
