ASO seizes 1505Kg foreign origin fabric

ISLAMABAD: Anti-smuggling Organization (ASO), Islamabad has seized smuggled fabric in quantity of 1505 Kg worth of Rs766883.

Customs officials told Customs Today that during one day ASO made almost 7 of fabric seizers at Rawalpindi-Peshawar GT Road near Borhan.

Officials said that first smuggled consignment of imported smuggled fabric was found from a tax evader who was traveling by passenger bus and he was coming from Peshawar, the total quantity of that seized fabrics was 490kg in value of Rs257250, the 2nd seizer’s quantity was 150 kg and its value was Rs76388.

The 3rd fabric seizer’s quantity was Rs200 kg and under value of Rs105000, the next seizer’s quantity was again 150kg under value of Rs76,388, the fifth seizer’s quantity was 63kg under value of Rs33075.

The 6th seizer’s quantity was 260kg of foreign origin cotton in value of Rs32405 the seventh and last fabric consignment seized in quantity of 182kg worth of Rs86377.
