Multan: ASO seizes smuggled items worth Rs10.93m in Jan

MULTAN: Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of Model Customs Collectorate Multan has seized the smuggled vehicles and various articles of worth Rs 10.93 million during the month of January. ASO has seized the eight different smuggled vehicles including four Suzuki Sierra Jeeps, two Toyota Hilux Surf and a Toyota Platz. The total worth of the smuggled seized vehicles is almost Rs6 million.

A large quantity of Smuggled Cigarettes of different brands were clutched in the anti smuggling operation .The worth of the smuggled cigarettes is almost Rs550000. The quantity of 2220 Kilograms base oil and Motor Mobil Oil of 2496 liters along with vehicles were seized of worth Rs 1.4 million in January.

More than 600 smuggled rugs were clutched during the month of January of worth Rs1.2 million. ASO has seized the smuggled brands of 60 vehicle tyres of worth Rs 600,000 Million. There were some other seized articles involved in the various anti smuggling operation including plastic granules, tiles ,blankets ,automatic cordless Kettle ,Polyvinyl alcohol resin .

Anti Smuggling Organization has increased the vigilance of the south Punjab region to tackle smuggling after the instructions from the Collector Sarfraz Warraich Model Customs Collectorate.
