ASO submits charge sheet against M/s Al-Mahmood Coach, M/s J J Movers Coach in goods smuggling case

KARACHI: Investigation officer of Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) submitted progress report before the customs court against owners, partners of M/s Al-Mahmood Coach, M/s J J Movers Coach and others, who were nominated in a first information report (FIR) for smuggling of contraband and other goods.

On 12 July 2021, investigation officer appeared before the court and submitted that on an actionable information that some unscrupulous persons are involved in the transportation of various smuggled/ non-duty paid/ injurious to health foreign goods through Al Mehmood Passenger Buses and subsequently dumping/ strong these goods at Al-Mehmood Coach Adda, Sohrab Goth, Super Highway, Karachi, for further disposal and illegal supply to up country in the local market.

Investigation officer argues that after the formalities, customs officials lodged a first information report and investigation in the matter is underway, a progress report would be produced before the court.
