NEW YORK: Astronomers have discovered that Galaxy A1689-zD1 is among the old galaxies. The galaxy has proved that dust is mostly the composition part of this universe. The picture was captured by Hubble Telescope. It was revealed that the galaxy is covered with a huge amount of dust particles. The particles are made up of magnesium, oxygen, silicon, iron and carbon.
Initially, the discoveries have recommended that galaxies started shaping stars around 560 years ago. Astronomers found that the group of stars existed from the earliest period of the universe. They said that the galaxy is an old world and is at a considerable distance from the planet Earth.
They mentioned that dust is generally found in the older galaxies and the newly formed galaxies don’t have this heavy dust.
Darach Watson from the University of Copenhagen said that although the exact origin of galactic dust is not clear, yet the findings have revealed that its production takes place very rapidly, within only 500 million years of the beginning of star formation in the Universe.
