ATHENS: Stocks continued to rise at Athinon Avenue on Friday. This was at least partly due to the favorable climate on international markets, with banks leading the way once again. However, again, trading volume left much to be desired.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 537.10 points, adding 1.03 percent to Thursday’s 531.64 points. On a weekly basis it contracted 1.41 percent.
