ISLAMABAD: The Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) has dated in office the hearing of a case submitted by M/s Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited following submission of record.
The ATIR cancelled the hearing of a case submitted by M/s Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited. Earlier the tribunal’s bench had issued notices to parties in the case. The bench asked the lawyers to ensure their presence before the bench in coming days for arguments.
ATIR Account Member Dr Ghulam Mujtaba Bhatti was hearing the matter. This case was remanded back to the tribunal by the Islamabad High Court (IHC). M/s Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited had contested show cause notices issued by the field offices of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
M/s Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited had challenged recovery of issued to it in head of outstanding income tax by the LTU, Islamabad.
M/s Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited had submitted the department had issued the demand for the tax year 2014 in head of income tax under provisions of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
