Auction of holders’ goods to be held on Friday

PESHAWAR: The State Warehouse Peshawar issued an order for the auction of holders’ goods which belong to the Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (Customs) FBR Peshawar through customs’ auctioneer at Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar on Friday.

The auction of the confiscated vehicles and goods under schedule No: 01/2017 at State Warehouse Peshawar will be held on 29.03.2017.

Intelligence Officer of State Warehouse Peshawar Yaqoob Shah said the Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (Customs) FBR has issued details which stated that there were 21 vehicles and 27 items of different origins seized by the I & I Custom officials to be put on auction for meeting the needs.

A Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (TX) Jeep, Model. 1996 Lot No 1-Veh/I&I/March/2017 in good condition among the Cars which are prepared for auction show at Customs House Peshawar.

There are Toyota Corolla Motor Car, Model 2006, Toyota Fielder Motor Car, Model 2002 which carry AJS-019-Sindh registration no while other cars carry registration from Islamabad in good condition for sale.

These are the cars of different brands and models from Toyota Vitz Motor Car to Corolla (G) Motor Car. There are more cars to be kept for sale through auction which will be conducted by MCC Peshawar, he added.

The Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation (Customs)-FBR Peshawar has said with the passage of time the size of the registration number also increased regarding the seizure of smuggled goods at State Warehouse Peshawar.

The detail of 27 items kept at the Custom’s Warehouse presented for auction in the last week of March 2017 for which notice was issued on 16th of March as follows; the confiscated goods of Intelligence & Investigation (Customs)-FBR Peshawar include polyester cloths with absolute quantity of 9868 kg. The total quantity of suiting cloths, parachute cloths along other cloths exceed 8978 kg;

the 147-A/2016 with Lot No 24-Misc/I&I/March 2017 also contain LG split air-conditioners, Slim LED TV 32′, Phoenix Cycle Chain ,F/O Guru Zafrani Patti (Scented chewing Tobacco made in India 25 cartons with a total of 4970 packs.

The serial No 165-A/2016 ,164-A/2016 ,63-A/2015,69-A/2015,90-A/2015,137-A/2015,137-A/2015,18-A/2016,30-A/2016 contain Sharp Microwave Oven with grill (R-67B1-S) Gooden Bridge wielding Rods, Old and used Radiator for LTV, Karanti cloths and Pad lock 38 mm, 43 cartons.

The other details about the stuff present at the State Warehouse Peshawar contain Samsung LED TV- 32′, Sony BRAVIA LED TV-32/W95, Pine light cigarettes, Business Royal cigarette along black tea weighed approximately 8568 kg.

He termed the need of auctions necessary for efficient supply of modern tools to fulfill the requirements of the department to tackle smuggling of more goods.

He further said the sale of goods does generate extra amount which serves as a purpose of development to generate more revenue or fill the gap between assumed and achieved targets of the final collections.
