ISLAMABAD: Shoukat Ali Yousfani, an Inland Revenue Audit Officer (IRAO) (BS-16), presently posted at Regional Tax Office, Hyderabad, has been censured for unauthorised absence from duty.
The competent authority took disciplinary action against the officer under the Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973. After having gone through facts of the case, relevant record as well as written and verbal explanations made by Shoukat Ali, indiscipline has been proved, however keeping in view previous service record and medical grounds i.e. serious illness of his child, the Chief (Management) being Authorised Officer has imposed minor penalty of ‘Censure’ on the officer.
The period of unauthorised absence from duty will be treated as EOL to be adjusted against his leave, A/C.
