Audit Officer’s performance allowance discontinued, Assist Commissioner’s restored

ISLAMABAD: The performance allowance of Muhammad Afzal Malik, Inland Revenue Audit Officer (BS-17), Regional Tax Office, Faisalabad, has been discontinued for a period of six months on account of imposition of minor penalty of “censure”.

The authority, vide Board’s Notification No. 3079-IR-III/2015, dated 20.01.2016 discontinued the performance allowance of the officer for a period of six months from January 20 to July 19, in light of Para-7 of Guidelines for Performance Allowance 2015 dated 06.03.2015. After six months, the officer will have to appear again for fresh selection for grant of the allowance.

Meanwhile, the performance allowance (equivalent to 100 per cent of basic pay) in respect of Amina Batool a (BS-17) officer of Inland Revenue Service, currently posted as Assistant Commissioner-IR, Regional Tax Office-II, Lahore, has been restored with effect from April 01, 2015.
