Victorian police today made an unexpected discovery during a raid – seizing a baby crocodile from the scene.
Authorities entered the home on Blackburn Street in Stratford around 9.15am as part of an ongoing investigation into thefts and burglaries in the local area.
They were also investigating reports of drug trafficking.
Upon searching the home police uncovered a young crocodile being kept on the premises.
A 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested at the residence and are assisting police with their enquiries.
Authorities also seized a quantity of substance believed to be methamphetamine, power tools, including a chainsaw, an allegedly stolen car and cattle drenching equipment.
The crocodile was handed over into the care of Parks Victoria.
