SYDNEY: The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is looking forward to hosting the prime minister at a lunch for business leaders in Sydney.
Kate Carnell AO, CEO of the ACCI, said: “In less than four weeks, the Treasurer will stand up in the House of Representatives to deliver the Federal Budget. We are looking forward to hearing from the Prime Minister about what we can expect in that Budget.
“As the recent Intergenerational report made clear, Australia has significant long-term challenges ahead. We cannot afford to be complacent and expect that our quality of life will continue to rise without making some difficult choices.
“As we approach the Government’s second Budget, we look forward to seeing the steps it takes to unleash private sector growth, thereby increasing jobs and prosperity, while also ensuring equitable outcomes for all Australians.
“It is no surprise the Prime Minister has chosen to address the business sector at an ACCI function. At the ACCI we are proud to be the voice of Australian business, representing businesses big and small across all industries and all parts of Australia.
