SYDNEY: The Australian dollar is up two US cents following weak economic data out of the US in the lead-up to the Federal Reserve meeting this week.
At 0630 AEST on Wednesday, the local currency was trading at 80.23 US cents, up from 78.73 cents on Tuesday.
Data out overnight showed that US consumer confidence dived from 101.4 to 95.2 in April, its weakest reading so far in 2015.
