 Australian dollar stronger against major currencies in Asian trade

PERTH: The Australian dollar strengthened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Wednesday.

Australian dollar rose to more than a 3-month high of 1.0644 against the NZ dollar and a 6-day high of 0.9601 against the Canadian dollar, from early lows of 1.0490 and 0.9567, respectively.

Against the U.S. dollar, the yen and the euro, the aussie advanced to 0.7952, 95.38 and 1.4066 from early lows of 0.7918, 94.97 and 1.4115, respectively.

If the aussie extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.08 against the kiwi, 0.97 against the loonie, 0.81 against the greenback, 96.50 against the yen and 1.35 against the euro.
