SYDNEY: The Australian sharemarket looks set to open higher after gains on international markets amid optimism for a new Greek bailout deal and as petroleum-linked equities rose on higher oil prices.
At 6.45am (AEST), the September share price index futures contract was up 33 points at 5,478.
The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 34.4 points, or 0.63 per cent, at 5,509.2 points.
