After failure from the Axact authorities, the director said customs authorities prepared a seizure report involving evasion of Rs 800 million duties/taxes by the Bol TV on importing machinery and equipments for the transmission.

Now, the case of the Axact’s Bol TV is under adjudicating process and the case would be decided within the due course of time, Asif Marghoob added.

The Axact scandal came to light when the New York Times published an investigative report claiming that the Pakistani IT company made millions by selling fake degrees online.

Following the NYT story, Pakistan authorities were quick to act as Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to launch a probe into the fake degree scandal.
