The LHC has already sought a reply from the Customs authorities on a petition filed by super model Ayyan Ali.

Justice Abdul Sami Khan also heard an appeal filed by Ayyan Ali, challenging proceedings before a Special Customs Courts, Rawalpindi, on money laundering charges against her and the dismissal of bail petition.

The court also accepted the bail plea for hearing, advising the super model’s counsel to file the plea under Section 497 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (when bail may be taken in cases of non-bailable offence). The court sought a reply from customs officials on June 26.

Now proceeding on bail plea and request to provide VIP status in jail will be held on Friday.
