Court to start proceedings of Ayyan Ali money laundering case today

ISLAMABAD: A three-point charge-sheet has been prepared against super model Ayyan Ali in currency smuggling case, it is learnt.

According to sources,  Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench will start proceedings against super model Ayyan Ali in currency smuggling case on August 21, 2015 (today).

In the charge-sheet the accused was charged with attempting to smuggle $500,000 to Dubai. While sources added that the supper model was also summoned by the court to attend the proceedings today.  Sources said that the court will indict the accused in currency smuggling.

It is important to mention here, that Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has accepted bail plea of super model Ayyan Ali after five months. Ayyan Ali was taken into custody after being found in possession of $500,000 by custom authorities at the Benazir International Airport.

A case was lodged against the accused under Custom Act. The model was sent on judicial remand since her arrest from Benazir Bhutto International Airport with $500,000 on May 14, 2015.
