Khurram Latif Khosa counsel for the model, while filing application seeking permanent exemption for his client from attendance in the court, argued Ayyan Ali has to appear in the court in Karachi, therefore, she should be granted exemption.

Ayyan’s lawyer also informed the court that the supermodel could not present herself before the court owing to security reasons. He also said that the supermodel was not related in any way to the murder of investigating officer Ejaz Chaudhry.

Judge Rana Aftab Ahmad, while expressing displeasure over non-appearance of model Ayyan Ali in the court, ordered that the accused be presented in the court and then the application on exemption will be heard.

The court also ordered Latif Khosa counsel for the accused to appear before it. Khurram Khosa protested over customs officials sending notices to witnesses. Khosa questioned as to how could custom authorities issue notices in the presence of courts? “Our witnesses are being harassed,” he claimed.

The court, while accepting the application of the accused for exemption from her attendance for one day, ordered that Ayyan Ali should appear before it on August, 31 at every cost.
