BAKU: Azerbaijan and Iran have agreed to switch the customs checkpoints in Azerbaijan’s Astara and Bilasuvar districts to the around-the-clock operation, Azerbaijan Ministry of Economic Development said in an exclusive interview with Trend Dec.22.
The agreement was reached Dec.22 during the tenth meeting of the Azerbaijani-Iranian Joint Commission on Economic, Trade and Humanitarian Cooperation.
Commission from the Azerbaijani side was headed by Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev, the Iranian side – Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Mahmoud Vaezi.
Currently, such mode of operation is introduced at the customs checkpoint in Astara.
