Azeri oil exports from Turkey grows 13.1% versus May 2015

BAKU: The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has announced the latest statistical data on Azeri oil export via the main export pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) named after Heydar Aliyev: in June oil shipping from Ceyhan grew by 13.1% versus May 2015.

The SOCAR informs that in June 2.797 million tons of Azeri oil was shipped from Turkish port Ceyhan versus 2.473 million tons in May, 2.377 million tons in April, 2.037 million tons in March, 2.345 million tons in February, 2.48 million tons in January 2015 and 2.684 million tons in December 2014 (last year’s best index).

In June 2015 1.841 million tons of overall shipping was accounted for the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) against 1.432 million tons in May, 1.37 million tons in April, 1.226 million tons in March, 1.63 million tons in February, 1.698 million tons in January 2015 and 2.194 million in December 2014 (last year’s best index).

“In 2015 shipment of Azeri oil from Ceyhan totals 14.51 million tons”, – SOCAR says. Shipment in the interests of SOFAZ is estimated at the level of 9.199 million tons.

In 2014 shipment of Azeri oil from Ceyhan totaled 29.127 million tons including 20.3 million tons of oil accounted for SOFAZ. The best index for 2014 was recorded in December (2.684 million tons and 2.194 million tons respectively). In the 1st quarter of 2014 shipment made 6.861 million tons, in the 2nd quarter – 7.421 million tons, in the 3rd quarter – 7.405 million tons, and in the 4th quarter – 7.028 million tons. The best index in 2013 was recorded in May (2.76 million tons). The best index for 2012 was recorded in June (2.716 million tons) and the best index in 2011 was recorded in March (3.011 million tons).

In the 1st quarter of 2014 SOFAZ shipment made 4.936 million tons, in the 2nd quarter – 5.095 million tons, in the 3rd quarter – 5.4 million tons, and in the 4th quarter – 4.847 million tons. The best monthly figure for 2013 was registered in May (1.975 million tons). In 2012 the best figure was registered in March (1.938 million tons) and in 2011 – in April (2.5 million tons).

In 2013 shipment of Azeri oil from Ceyhan totaled 29.2 million tons, including 19.57 million tons shipped in favor of SOFAZ. For 2012 shipment if Azeri oil from Ceyhan totaled 29.299 million tons including 20.3 million tons shipped in favor of SOFAZ.

In 2011 shipping totaled 32.08 million tons and 23.25 million of it accounted for SOFAZ. In 2010 shipping reached 37.3 million tons against shipping of 36.3 million tons in 2009. The 2009 best indicator was registered in May (3.5 million tons). This indicator was repeated in May and July of 2010.

From the very start of the BTC operation in mid-2006 to 1 June 2015 the export from Ceyhan totaled 276.449 million tons of Azeri oil.
